68. Back in Capernaum

        ³⁰They went on from there^a and passed through Galilee. And he would not have anyone know it. ³³And they came to Capernaum; and when he was in the house^b he asked them, “What were you discussing on the way?”
        ³⁴But they were silent; for on the way they had discussed with one another who was the greatest (in the kingdom).
        ³⁵And he sat down and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If anyone would be first, he must be servant of all.”
        ³⁶And he took a child, and put him in the midst of them; and taking him in his arms he said to them: ³“Truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will make little progress in the kingdom of heaven. ⁴Whoever humbles himself like this child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ³⁷Whoever receives one such child receives me. And whoever receives me receives not only me but him who sent me. ⁶But whosoever causes one of these little ones to stumble, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. ⁸And if your hand or your eye causes you to stumble, sacrifice them; it is better to enter life minus these than to be shut out of the kingdom. ¹⁰See that you do not despise these little ones, for their angels do always behold the faces of the heavenly hosts.”
