155. Jesus Appears before Pilate Again (continued)

        ¹⁹While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, “Have nothing to do with this innocent man, for I have suffered much over him in a dream last night.”
        ²⁰Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the people to ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus. ²⁰Pilate addressed them once more, desiring to release Jesus: ¹²“Then what shall I do with the man whom you call the King of the Jews?”
        ²¹But they shouted out, “Crucify him, crucify him!”
        ¹⁴And Pilate said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?”
        They shouted all the more, “Crucify him.”
        ²¹The governor again said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?”
        And they said, “Barabbas.”
        ²²Pilate said to them, “Then what shall I do with Jesus?”
        They all said, “Let him be crucified.”
