145. Jesus Prays for His Apostles (continued)
12“I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition. 14I have given them your word, and the world has hated them. 15I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from evil. 17Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18As you did send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.”20“I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, 21that they may all be one. You, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22The glory which you have given me I have given to them. May they be one even as we are one, 23I in them and you in me, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. 24Father, I desire that they also behold my glory which you have given me before the foundation of the world. 25O righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these know that you have sent me. 26I made known to them your name.”
