145. Jesus Prays for His Apostles (continued)

        ¹²“I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition. ¹⁴I have given them your word, and the world has hated them. ¹⁵I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from evil. ¹⁷Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. ¹⁸As you did send me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. ¹⁹And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be consecrated in truth.”
        ²⁰“I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, ²¹that they may all be one. You, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. ²²The glory which you have given me I have given to them. May they be one even as we are one, ²³I in them and you in me, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. ²⁴Father, I desire that they also behold my glory which you have given me before the foundation of the world. ²⁵O righteous Father, the world has not known you, but I have known you, and these know that you have sent me. ²⁶I made known to them your name.”
